ANGLIAN WATER MAIN UPGRADE UPDATE
We need to close Kimbolton Road, Bolnhurst.
We‘ve been working to upgrade the water pipes nearby and we wanted to get in touch to give you an update on our progress.
The water pipe which serves your local community has come to the end of its working life and we’re investing £3.1 million to replace it. The new pipe will reduce the risk of bursts and leaks, protecting your water supply and reducing water wastage.
What have we done so far?
We’ve started to lay the new pipe along Kimbolton Road and Church Road
and work is progressing well. From 23 September a section of Kimbolton Road will be closed for five days so we can carry out connection work. You can see the location of this in the photo.
The road will be fully closed so if you’re travelling from Bedford it will only
be accessible up to up to Sartwick Farmhouse, and if you’re travelling from pKimbolton it will only be accessible up to Wishing Well Cottage. A
signposted diversion route will be in place.
