Temporary Closure – Bolnhurst and Keysoe Bridleway No 1

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

BEDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL

(BOLNHURST AND KEYSOE: BRIDLEWAY NO 1)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Bedford Borough Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot or on horseback or lead a horse or cycle along the length the length of Bridleway No 1, Bolnhurst and Keysoe of which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0765 6265 (Map point A) to OS GR TL 0822 6246 (Map point B).

This temporary closure is required to carry out Resurfacing works

The closure is expected to take place from Thursday 3rd March 2022 until Thursday 31st March 2022. There is no alternative route for horse riders.

The alternative route for pedestrians while the closure is in operation will be to proceed from (OS GR) TL 0822 6246 (Map point B)  east to junction with Footpath No 2 at (OS GR) TL 0831 6244 (Map point C) then proceed south along Footpath No 2  to its junction with Footpath No 5 at  (OS GR) TL 0817 6216 (Map point D) proceed along Footpath No 5  to junction with Wybridge at (OS GR) TL  0787 6225 (Map Point E) vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on Thursday 3rd March 2022  for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out on or near to the bridleway have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.
